CREATIVE SPACE

FINALLY I have a creative working space within my bedroom, lets see how long it will stay neat and organised for...

A collection of imagery which will heavily influence my next collection; ROCKS & MINERALS. The collection will be started within the next coming months, until then I'll be kept busy stitching into vintage family photographs for something rather special that I've got planned. All will be revealed in good time!

Until then, here's a little look at what I've been making lately...

THE ARC, CREATIVE ARTS: PLACEMENT.

Even though I’ve recently completed my Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification, for the past few weeks I’ve carried on my placement at the Stockton’s Arc where I’ve been volunteering in the Silver over 50’s Creative Arts programme; working with the amazing tutor Mary Lou Springstead. During my time there I’ve gained experience working in the community arts as well as shadowing Mary, I’ve even had time during the lesson to paint something’s myself, see my work so far below! So far we’ve been working in the medias of acrylic and watercolour paint, before moving onto a Lowry inspired lesson and most recently they have just started their own personal project surrounding the topic of ‘Teeside’.

MOVEMENT

Motion.
Final Major Project.

Since November, I have been busy getting stuck into my major final project, with my theme been

Motion.

My early visual research started with drawing and mark making whilst in motion and movement of traveling via train, bus or car. Allowing the motion of the journey to move the pen itself to create some interesting different results.

As well as experimenting with the movement of paint whilst in motion.
