Even though I’ve recently completed my Health and Social
Care Level 2 qualification, for the past few weeks I’ve carried on my placement
at the Stockton’s Arc where I’ve been volunteering in the Silver over 50’s
Creative Arts programme; working with the amazing tutor Mary Lou Springstead.
During my time there I’ve gained experience working in the community arts as
well as shadowing Mary, I’ve even had time during the lesson to paint something’s
myself, see my work so far below! So far we’ve been working in the medias of acrylic and watercolour
paint, before moving onto a Lowry inspired lesson and most recently they have
just started their own personal project surrounding the topic of ‘Teeside’.
